Fry Sauce: Cheese Dip with Garlic and Herbs

I made this sauce the other day... the bad news: it was all wiped-out before I realized that I haven't taken a picture! :(

The good news is that it is really delicious and easy to make! :)

I love sauces and I love cheese... and I got the inspiration for my fry sauce from a TV feature about a place somewhere in Utah, which is famous for their different fry sauces. They have a popular dish which is made up of a layer of thick beef burger patty at the bottom, topped with crispy potato fries and a generous serving of your choice of fry sauce. Fattening and yummy! Are you hungry yet? :)

Jelly Bean for 500 Pounds!

Some people will just do anything to be closer to royalty... even to the extent of buying one piece of mango-flavored jelly bean at 500 Pounds! Wesley Hosie, a 25-year-old accountant and his girlfriend, Jessica White, have found a jelly bean which according to them, bears an uncanny resemblance to Prince William's soon-to-be bride, Kate Middleton. And they're auctioning it off at EBay for 500 British Pounds! The weirder part is... people are actually vying for it!

Personally, I think the jelly bean can look like any woman (or man!) with long dark hair and dark eyes!

And I'm wondering... how do you preserve a jelly bean so it doesn't expire after you buy it for 500 British Pounds? LOL! :)

Toxic

Are you a toxic person?

I think no one wants to be toxic… but no matter what, there are just some people who you simply cannot click with! These are the people that just sap the life/energy out of you… very unpleasant and difficult to deal with.

Based on my own experience, there are 3 classifications of Toxic People:

When The Sun Rises in Africa

This has always been one of my favorite inspirational messages of all times... The message may be short and simple, but it speaks to all of us, whether you're a deer, a lion or a person... It's a reminder that we have different roles in life, but what's important is that we run the race set before us as best as we can- with integrity, passion, and God. :)

Crazy Little Thing Called Love (aka First Love)

The movie that recently made me kilig, smile, laugh, cry and inspired. :)

Crazy Little Thing Called Love/First Love is a Thai movie, but the storyline is something that is sweet and universal- something that almost anyone will be able to relate to. True to its tagline, the movie is really based on a true story... of everyone.

Watch the trailer below:

I admit I did some of the things the girl in the movie did... passing through the school hallways just to catch a glimpse of my crush, calling him through the phone and then hanging up, getting tongue-tied in his presence...

But what's the best thing you can do with a crush/love?

I like the line the heroine of the movie, Nam, said at the end, "I guess I used my love in a good way."

I totally agree... no matter what your age is, use the love/admiration you feel for somebody to inspire yourself to become the best person that you can be... :)

Enjoy watching! :)

Satay Sauce

I love hotpot! I especially love David's Hotpot in Tomas Mapua, Sta. Cruz, as they make the best beef with cheese balls and have good quality ingredients!

I also love the hotpot satay sauce and soup base there!

That's why I am super happy with my yummy discovery:

Howard BBQ/Satay Sauce! This is a product of Taiwan and it tastes exactly like the satay sauce in David's!

Even better news is that you don't have to go a shop in Chinatown to avail of Howard BBQ/Satay Sauce... it's now being sold in SM Supermarkets, as well! :)

So for those who enjoy making hotpot at home... or those who are craving for hotpot but don't have the time or budget... try Howard BBQ/Satay Sauce! As a hotpot-lover, I highly recommend this! :)

No-Bake Dessert: Banoffee Pie

My First Banoffee Pie:

The Banoffee Pie is one of my fave desserts from Starbucks, but I never thought that it's so easy to make on my own... and so affordable, too! :)

A big thanks to my colleague, Katrin Erica, for teaching me how to do this! :)

Don't mind the presentation, though. I usually don't decorate the food I make as I'm just too excited to eat them. :P Hehe... just kidding! Food presentation is really something I need to learn more about. :)

The taste? Yummy! I can say that it almost tastes the same as Starbuck's. :)

How to make your own Banoffee Pie?

Mood Board

A mood board is a type of poster design that may consist of images, text, and samples of objects in a composition of the choice of the mood board creator. Designers and others use mood boards to develop their design concepts and to communicate to other members of the design team. (Wikipedia)

Somebody asked me to make a mood board that expresses who I am, and I was like, "What's a mood board?". And I realized that it's basically just like the cork board I used to place inside my high school locker, wherein I put pictures of Brad Pitt (my Hollywood crush), Pepper (my real-life high school crush- code name used to protect identity and my reputation. hehe! :P), my favorite movies and quotes.

Nowadays, with the emergence of technology, mood boards are more often designed digitally for easy sharing through email, blogs, etc. :)

Well, just want to share my first digital mood board. Since this is my first mood board, I can't say that I'm 100% satisfied with it... but I must say it's not completely bad. :P

Here it is:

How about you? Do you have a mood board that expresses who you are? :)

Hello!

It's been 9 months since my last post! Yes, I've been that busy and that lazy or both! :P

Well, I hope I can maintain this more regularly! :) Wish me luck! :)
